Fernweh

I love the world "fernweh, it literally means, "farsickness" or "an ache for the distance". For any of you experiencing fernweh, here are some stellar trips we have taken both far and wide.

Witnessing turtles being nursed back to health at Le Meridian Turtle Sanctuary in Bora Bora.

Staying on a private island in an overwater bungalow in Bora Bora.

Snorkeling with a school of fish in Moorea.

Hiking around Zion National Park.

Fly over glaciers in a bush plane in Alaska.

Visit the southernmost point in the continental United States in Key West, Florida.

Check out Mayan ruins, let a blue morpho butterfly land on your head and take a hand crank bridge in Belize.

Visit a chocolate farm and find out where chocolate really comes.

See howler monkeys, visit the bay where whales come to give birth and witness the beautiful surf of Costa Rica.

Enjoyed unspoiled beaches in Nicaragua.

Go where there is an island for every day of the year.
