Strolling around The University of Washington's campus can be incredibly beautiful any time of year, but it is especially nice this time of year when all the cherry blossom trees are in bloom. The architecture and detail of many of the old buildings are intriguing and even after walking these pathways for four years, I have noticed things I never saw while zipping to and from my classes. The cherry blossoms draw a ton of people to the campus, so it is especially bustling on weekends and on sunny afternoons. My recommendation would be to go early in the morning before classes start and have the place to yourself. Check out their bloom status here.
You will find the cherry blossoms in The Quad. Locate it on this map just NE of Suzzallo Library.

Suzzallo Reading Room
The University of Washington campus is beautiful, but the Suzzallo Reading Room really tops the list. The architectural detail throughout is breathtaking and it might even make you long for the days of being a college student. You do not have to be a student and there is no entrance fee to enjoy the peace and quiet nor the beauty of the library.
It was late in the day and the library had almost cleared out entirely.

Timing
Last week we were able to catch the tail end of the cherry blossoms at the University of Washington. Not quite as breathtaking as when they are in full bloom, but on the upside the weather was beautiful, the campus is still gorgeous and there were a lot less people roaming about.
