Families are forever

One of the most comforting beliefs in our religion is the knowledge our relationships exists beyond the grave. We have a firm belief that families can be together forever which makes our relationships here on earth eternally significant. We spent a very hot Sunday afternoon walking the temple grounds and enjoying the peace and beauty of our surroundings......much like the rest of our trip everyone else was inside, so we had the place to ourselves.

Adjacent to the temple there is a small cactus garden.

Sprouting an "arm"

The variety of cacti is amazing.

Family relationships exist beyond the grave? So what happens if one of you is really, really good, and one of you is an axe murderer?

I know for a fact that no marriage or even family is a perfect unit. When dealing with challenging relationships and individuals, it helps to remember each person on this earth is a son or daughter of God. Each person on this earth also has a divine nature and destiny.

Learning to love and serve your family members, especially the difficult ones, will help you become more like your Heavenly Father and will help you prepare to live with Him again in an eternal family. All that you can do is your best and encourage those around you to do the same.
