A valentine's day to remember

I knew when we decided to take the day off from work it was going to be a good Valentine's day. We slept in, went out for breakfast and then took a ferry ride to Southworth and drove to the Dungeness Spit. The weather was cold, windy and rainy, so when the clouds parted and the sun began to shine I was in heaven.

So beautiful. I just visited my brother in Washington last October and was enthralled with it (since I'm kind of a desert rat and think Boise's green). Now I know what green and trees really are. What are those slimy shell things? They are so cool looking.

You always have a great eye. Your pictures are stunning. It makes me miss Washington and you guys, of course. We were hoping to visit this summer, but I'm not sure if we will be able to afford it. I'll keep you posted.
