Today is World Water Day in which one purpose is to inform people not only where their water source is located, but approximately how much water you might consume in any given day.
Each person uses on average 100 gallons of water a day, the astounding part of this statistic is that it only includes the water in which we drink, cook, bathe, and wash with on any given day. There is also a staggering amount of water required to make virtually everything we eat, drink and use. If this peaks your interest half as much as it does me than you should check out the following information.
In this day and age of easy access to clean drinking water for many here in the States, it might sadden you to know that more people are dying from dirty water than violence. After reading this article, it makes me want to do my part to reduce my water use (shorter showers for certain) and find some small way to help with this global epidemic.
