On the market

After nearly a year of construction, our old place has finally been renovated and is on the market. Needless to say, due to the current economic downturn it is a far cry from the astronomical price once quoted to us. It is easy to have a knee jerk reaction to this good fortune, swoop it up before anyone else does and continue life in our old comfortable way, but then again would we be wiping away a year of progress? We have met such wonderful people, found new favorite places to eat, routes to run, places to shop and even have some of our very favorite people within walking distance to us. This is the view we enjoyed exactly one year ago to the day from our old place in Kirkland, maybe someday we will have a lake view again, but looking back being forced to move was the best thing that could have happened to us.
