If you do not mind a little drive or are searching for a killer breakfast place, might I suggest Calico Cupboard in Anacortes. It is the kind of place that is packed at eight am on a Saturday morning and clearly a favorite with the locals. I also imagine it is the kind of place where they not only know your name, but know your order. We both ordered the french toast, but my unaware of caloric intake husband ordered the cinnamon roll version. I was a bit jealous, but the bite or two I tried was delicious, it was the ultimate in indulgent breakfasts.
We always must stop for a photo op at places named Cameron. We have yet to find a place named Lisette, so let me know if you come across one and we will start planning our pilgrimage.
After breakfast we went up to Padilla Bay and took a walk along the beach.
I love the photo opportunities after a good rainfall.
After the beach we headed south to Coupeville. I have been here several times as child, but it had been awhile. After window shopping and a walk on the pier we had lunch at Knead and Feed. The staff, the service and the food was exceptional and I am already planning a trip back.

Between the morning fog and the misty conditions, we had the place to ourselves.
