It is easy to become deterred by the over commercialization of holidays. When I was younger, it was easy to day dream of big gestures, the gifts, the flowers, or the dates. This year as I stood in the pouring rain hand picking flowers for my valentine I am happy to see they are not over priced, he does not expect them and it makes the giving all the sweeter than the getting.
