The art of the chase- photographing children

More often that not, I have the opportunity to photograph active, dynamic, restless children. The expectation that they will sit perfectly still or give a genuine smile each time is not only unrealistic, but can lead to disappointed parents. Children typically like to run away from the camera, so getting down to their level and becoming the least intimidating as possible is key. Follow the child around and snap photos whether or not their eyes are on you. You will be able to capture their endless facial expressions and those photos just might become more precious than the picture perfect ones.

Oh, I love this cutie! I especially like the close up of her showing off her necklace.
