Bandera Mountain

Despite the drizzly weather we decided to tackle Bandera Mountain. We had only ever hiked up to the snow line in the spring or up the other trail to Mason Lake, so this time we went up to the summit. Unfortunately, the weather was not cooperating, so we missed out on the panoramic views from the top. It felt like an early fall day, but the dew covered flowers made for some stellar shots.

Socked in with clouds, here I am almost to the summit. Upon arrival, there was no one else there, which would not have been the case had the weather been more favorable.

Looking down onto the cloud covered valley.

Enjoying the fresh air, being together and no one around to take our picture.

The wildflowers are an ever changing display of brilliance.

So jealous (I post once again). It is 105 degrees here and there is no escape, nor dew, in sight.
