Artwork is emotive, when I love a piece it excites me and every time I glance at it, it brings back those happy feelings. I just came across the work of Rachel Ann Austin who must have temporarily stolen my brain to create these wonderful little moments of happiness. I love the layered effect of the acrylic, the repurposing maps and subtleness of them peeking through.

I just browsed through a local store and saw these. We should totally get together and have a decoupage and painting party. They seem like they would be simple to make.
